Kirkland Modern Home Upgrade

After purchasing a new home for herself and her parents, Eliza decided to undertake a complete remodel, including the addition of a new bathroom. The objective was to modernize the home while enhancing functionality, optimizing space, and improving overall comfort and aesthetics.

CHALLENGES:

  • The kitchen layout required reconfiguration, including relocating the island to improve usability and workflow.

  • Fake ceilings and columns made the living and dining areas feel cramped, requiring structural modifications to create a more open concept.

  • The existing flooring and staircase materials were outdated and needed upgrading to ensure consistency and enhance visual appeal.

  • The electrical and plumbing systems were outdated, requiring modernization to support new fixtures, appliances, and smart home integrations.

SOLUTIONS:

  • Kitchen renovation: Relocated the island to improve workflow, maximize counter space, and enhance overall functionality.

  • Opened up the living and dining areas: Removed all fake ceilings and columns to create a more spacious and connected environment.
  • Installed new hardwood flooring: Replaced old materials with high-quality hardwood throughout the home, including the staircase, for a seamless and elegant finish.

  • Upgraded plumbing and electrical systems: Ensured long-term reliability and efficiency while integrating modern technology and smart switches.

  • Added a new bathroom: Improved convenience and functionality for the household, increasing overall home value.

  • Remodeled two additional bathrooms: Transformed the guest bathroom by installing a freestanding vanity and a freestanding bathtub positioned under the same shower pan, creating a unique and functional layout. Updated the master bathroom with both a shower and a freestanding bathtub and faucet, enhancing comfort and luxury.
